- Interests in Environmental History: I am interested in environmental history because my research focuses on the mercantile dynamics of the Atlantic façade between the 13th and 16th centuries. The climatic alterations that occurred caused frequent interruptions in traffic. Floods, natural disasters and the destruction of port infrastructures interfered in commercial ventures, causing alterations in the mercantile and financial markets of the towns and cities of the vast network of Atlantic ports.
